{"id":493,"date":"2011-02-06T19:22:42","date_gmt":"2011-02-07T02:22:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/david.blondeau.name\/blog\/?p=493"},"modified":"2011-02-13T21:33:41","modified_gmt":"2011-02-14T04:33:41","slug":"kaiser-permanente-san-francisco-12-marathon-2011","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/david.blondeau.name\/blog\/2011\/02\/06\/kaiser-permanente-san-francisco-12-marathon-2011","title":{"rendered":"Kaiser Permanente San Francisco 1\/2 Marathon 2011"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today I ran the San Francisco 1\/2 marathon for the second time. <a href=\"http:\/\/david.blondeau.name\/blog\/2010\/02\/07\/kaiser-permanente-san-francisco-12-marathon\">Last year&#8217;s race<\/a> was the beginning of a nice streak of PRs.<\/p>\n<p>I always tell people that ask me that you never know how a run will go before you reach mile 2. Sometimes, you feel like crap for the first 2 miles and then have a wonderful run. Other times, you feel great at first and then, something does not feel right and you have to slug it all the way to the end.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/david.blondeau.name\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/78687-139-033f.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-494\" title=\"78687-139-033f\" src=\"http:\/\/david.blondeau.name\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/78687-139-033f.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"256\" height=\"384\" srcset=\"http:\/\/david.blondeau.name\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/78687-139-033f.jpg 256w, http:\/\/david.blondeau.name\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/78687-139-033f-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 256px) 100vw, 256px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Well, today was more like the former! Even though the weather was perfect, I started feeling pretty lame early on and it took a lot of willpower to drag myself all the way to the finish line. I just felt kind of weak.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Thing is that today&#8217;s goal was not to set a new PR but to prepare for the marathon I am running on 3\/6 in Napa. I wanted to run at marathon pace finishing feeling like I can run another 1\/2. The way I should feel in one month at the halfway mark.<\/p>\n<p>Anyhow, that is the way running goes. I still did OK time wise (1:35) so not that bad after all.
